Finally got all my bathroom closets arranged and stuff put away.... yes it has taken me this long. I also have my sewing room (almost) organized. Getting one room done leads to another being able to be organized. The shelfs I was using until I got my dresser painted is now available for use in the sewing room. and since I moved stuff out of there I can get my quilting material out on the shelves, .... and maybe finish the border on my grandmother's Flower Garden quilt!!!!
I have also been taking things out to the RV to get loaded up and ready to go. I have been mapping my route I'd like to take up to Maine, and the stops I want to make along the way. Everything depends on what all happens here though, and I have been wondering whether I will be able to take off soon enough to see the changing of the leaves in the far northeast.
I rolled up my garden hoses today and got the yard mowed. I do have some yard work I will do if I get stuck here, but thats just the alternate plan; more birdhouses up, a couple more garden beds for next year, and re-doing some flower beds.
I've completed another painting. (It's on my other blog, Sunny's Studio) and am working on a couple more. I will also be giving my first painting lesson this Saturday. I will have a painting buddy.... Yeah!
One of my neighbors knits a lot of baby sweaters, and knows of a couple more gals who would be interested in getting together twice a month for a "Knit Night" at one of our homes, another back-up plan so if I am stuck here for the winter, I'll still have plenty to do! Or at least I will take part when I am here.
My cousins and I took a trip to the large Crawford County Fair this week. We had a grand time looking at all the displays in the home buildings, arts, crafts, garden produce, honey displays, ooooh, luscious stuff all!! I got my usual hot sausage sandwich with green peppers and onions, and later an ice cream cone to cool off my burning mouth and stomach. Well..... that was the excuse I used anyway :) My cousins had eaten before we left so they just got some french fries and had an ice cream cone with me. I only took a couple pictures in the farm show building with my 3G phone, nothing really to post. We did see lots of animals too, but really weren't interested in visiting the barns. I think we had all had enough of that growing up and in our later years.
Well this post is long enough, so you all take care and remember how blessed we all are! I know I am!!
Love the quilt! Sounds like you are getting things done there. Taking your RV to maine sounds wonderful -- too bad I can't join you.
ReplyDeleteHow is your son & grandson doing? I hope much, much better.
OH the quilt is beautiful. Getting things done slowly is better than rushing through and then not being happy with it and turning around and doing it again.
ReplyDeleteHope your son is doing well and you get to go to Maine. But you sure have enough back up plans to keep you busy in case. :)
I like the way of concentrating on one thing at a time. It is encouraging to finish something instead of running in all directions. The quilt is lovely too.
