....... so I know I will be here in KY till late February at least. I called our local RV place and they could not get my RV in to winterize it soon enough as they are backed up.
Soooo.... I made a call to another RV owner and got out my care manual, and started to dig through the info. Then a call to the previous owner, and they were as helpful as they could be, but had fogotten how they did some of the maintenance. I had to go over one small section at a time and then go out to the RV (it was cold and a light rain falling which made it not very pleasant outside) to see what it was talking about. Some of the diagrams were like puzzles, and I had to really study to see what it was talking about. To make a long story short I did finally get everything drained and the recommended RV antifreeze put in.
Next is getting it for an oil change and lube job, which I will not be doing myself. But I did do what I could and feel pretty good about that.
Now I am trying to finish up my ridding out project in the house, take some time to paint, and get my Christmas tree up before the ominous 13th! However, having these things out of the way, I will be free to put my concentration into working through KRS and the following therapy, which I have been told is a bear. I am determined I can do it! After all ...... I have a goal ahead of me . Getting back out in my RV with Izzy and back to painting form the scenes I see along the way!
It's good that you're getting those chores out of the way now! Maybe it also helps to keep your mind off of the surgery?
ReplyDeleteI admire you so much Sunny. I wish I were more like you in "handling" physical repairs, etc. I know I rely toooo much on my husband. I've been trying slowly to get better along that line these last few years but I have a ways to go!!! At least now I have someone I could call......YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteGood job that you did the winterizing yourself. I'm trying to read the manuals that came with my RV so that I can do some minor fixes myself.
ReplyDeleteYay, you winterized your RV! So if you can do that, you can do therapy too! Yes, do the surgery & get well so you can continue traveling & enjoying life :-))
ReplyDeleteI am impressed Sunny, I am not good at figuring these things out, even with a manual. looking forward to seeing what your beautiful hands create.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
You go girl or should I say Lady. Anyway thats great that you could get that done by yourself.
ReplyDeleteYes the therapy will be a bear but you can do it and it only takes about 2 weeks and it gets easier. And having that goal helps you work as hard as you can.
I'm hear rootin for ya.
Sounds complicated, but glad you succeeded! Ya, I don't think I'd want to attempt the oil change!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are getting everything in order! It is a good feeling isn't it? Blessings,Kathleen
ReplyDeleteWinterizing your RV is always a good idea. Traveling during a cold, snowy season can be a great adventure, but not for your vehicle. Like any other autos, it is best to prep your vehicle before and during the snow season. If I may add, aside from the oil change, you can also protect your tires from the snow by using tire covers. Tire covers are available in different sizes and materials. It can range from plywoods to slip-ons. These will protect the tires from UV rays and the snow.
