Eldest daughter and I went to a, er...., several, yarn shops. That was our fun (that and having tea together in the mornings before she went to work).
These I got at Wolfe Creek Yarns for a hat and scarf set for myself. I made 2 hats last year for others so this one is for me, lol. I also picked up more sock yarn; its becoming addicting to have a pair of socks on the needles at all times, as a relaxer in the evenings. I purchased reinforcement yarn for toes and heels, and some bamboo needles as well. Gee, I could actually even have 2 (two) prs going at the same time now...

These socks I have been working on are for daughter#4, who is about to be married and I need to have them done before leaving Texason the 7th.

And this is the front porch on eldest daughter's home, with one of her Basset hounds, Honey Dew, looking through the railing.

Now for more fun... The first time meeting baby Maddie. Good thing I had Izzy with me. She really won me alot of points!

Here is a bunch of us who went to Pittsburgh to see new baby Ayden, and parents too of course :) Aren't we a good-looking bunch? Hah!

This is four generations. Myself, daughter Rachel, Grand-daughter Brandie, and Great-grandson, baby Ayden.

It was so special to me to be able to hold him and realize this was 4 .... four...... generations. He just is so precious!!

My trip to PA was much too short, but plan to go back again next spring or summer, and stay a whole month.
How wonderful to see a family together like that!I'll bet it felt great to hold grand babies.
ReplyDeleteI miss my family in Pa.
Sunny, I think you were pretty close to where my family is. Of course, they are spread out there too. One in Sandy Lakes, one in Emlenton, one brother moved, but not sure where in Pa he is right now, my Mom & brother are in the Knox area, which is a small town near Clarion Pa. I hope to get up there next spring & spend the entire summer with all of them. I miss them, but not the cold weather & snow!!
Hope you get great weather in Texas! Beautiful day here today.
Love the socks too - great talent there!
I do love that sock yarn and the way it knits up.(those colors are nice too) What nice family pictures and what fun to be able to get together. Congratulations on the latest addition.
ReplyDeleteSunny,
ReplyDeleteisn't it fun to hold those great grand babies. You have a wonderful family in PA. And I'm sure the rest of your family is just as great.
I am crocheing lots of hats and scarfs right now for out Christman adopt a family. Keeping my hands busy has become a real habit too.
I love those socks. I can't knit never was able to learn. I think it a lack of coordination. LOL And it doesn't take up a lot of room in the MH.
Have fun in TX.

I had a wonderful time, and yes especially tea in the morning and knitting in the evening...all my friends want to know when my mom is coming back, "she is so cool!". So when are you coming back? I know a little country place that is calling your name...no pressure or anything ;-)
