Relaxing Days .... and more varmints!

I was able to spend all day Saturday with my eldest daughter. We started out going to Grove city Mall, where she helped me pick out a nice jacket that could be worn with blue jeans or a pair of dress slacks. It is a lightweight jacket of beautiful fall colors; I also purchased a lightweight lime green sweater. I usually buy clothes on the cheap side, (WM, KM, or the thrift store) however, I have a couple art galleries I will be visiting and so needed something a little more dressy than my usual jeans and sweats.

After that we made a stop at a yarn shop in down-town Grove city, which has alot of "eye-candy" for knitters. I did manage to walk out of there with only a couple purchases ( I did GOOD .... REALLY!!) Daughter then treated me to dinner at an Italian resteraunt. We both had a pasta meal with salad. It was soooo good! On the drive home we enjoyed the beginning of the turning of the leaves. The sun filtering through a variety of cloud shapes and hitting on the leaves had a very early autumn feel to it. Magical almost..... When we arrived back at Tina's home I took these pictures of her pretty mums.

I just love her whole country front porch, don't you??

Tomorrow I take my .22 pistol over to my son. He is going to clean it up real good for meso I can trade it in on something more usable. I just could never manage a pistol with such a long barrel. Oh yes.... did I mention the ground-hogs are back???

  1. With land so dear in Tokyo, the idea of using space for a front porch does not exist and I miss them. When they put up housing for the tsunami/quake victims, they were rows of front doors in long barrack-like buildings. It isolated those poor people even more. All were strangers even though they were sharing a building. I can't help thinking of all the good a porch might have done.

  2. Sounds like you had a wonderful day shopping with Tina. Wish you would have taken a picture of your new jacket. Yes Tina's porch looks so cozy.
