I loved seeing free-range cattle coming into my campsite. Only problem was that Miss Izzy would hear them before I knew they were there and her barking would scare them off
Yearling calves
One of the older mama cows I had seen previously in my back-road galavants.
She's pretty close to one of the old "skeleton trees"about 30' from my RV.
She picks her way across the ground, eating what little grass she can find,
....and finally wanders off across the railroad tracks behind me.
